INTRODUCTION
Affiliate Programs....If you don't know what they are, then you're in the right place. Affilliate Programs are one of the many marketing tactics used by companies to send people to their websites. For example, one day you join a dating site to meet people. Upon signing up to the website you happen to notice that the dating site is offering $10.00 for every 100 people you send to their website that sign up too. That's right. Believe it or not there's alot of companies out there that will PAY YOU to bring people to their websites. I know what you're thinking, "But how am I going to get all these people to go to the websites so I can get paid?". In this volume of Rich Kits I will explain just that!TYPES OF AFFILIATES
There are so many different types of Affiliate Programs out there, so it would be impossible to cover them all.I have listed a few types below so you can get an idea of how different companies use different types of Affiliate Programs.
PAY PER SALE
Example of a Pay Per Sale Program: Amazon.comUnless you've been living under a rock for the past 10 years, you must have noticed Amazon.com on the internet one time or another. Amazon is an online marketplace that sells everything from DVDs to Baby's Diapers. You already knew that right? Well what you may not have known is that Amazon has an Affiliate Program that pays between 4-8.5% of every sale you send to them. So if, for example, you send someone to Amazon and they purchase $50 worth of DVD's, then Amazon will pay you a percentage of that. They send checks to Affiliates every month.
The Trick:
Amazon has a feature called AStore. Basically, AStore is like your very own little Amazon website. You can add a few items or every item that is on Amazon.com. But it's your store front. The store is completely free and takes less than 2 minutes to set up, but you will need your own website to put it on. Items are listed in your store withwhatever titles and captions you want to give them. You can keep the original titles if you want too. When someone visits your website and clicks on an Amazon item, it will lead them to the Amazon.com page where the item is located. If they purchase the item, you get paid the Affiliate percentage I've been telling you about. It's like your very ownbusiness, and you don't need to stock any products on your shelves, Amazon does all the work for you. You justhave to bring people to your website. Adding captions and appropriate titles to each product listing will really helpyou build traffic (Traffic is how many people visit your website each day).Another way is to learn Google Adwords. There is many ways to do this.PAY PER CLICK
Example of a Pay Per Click Program: Revver.comRevver is a social video website similar to Youtube. The main difference between Revver and Youtube is that Revver's videos have advertisements embedded in them. When you upload one of your personal videos to Revver for the worldto see, they place coding into your video so when people watch your videos, there are ads before or after the videos, and when someone clicks on the video screen on one of the ads, it brings them to the advertisers website. The advertiserpays revver.com some money for allowing them to advertise and revver.com pays you for allowing revver to place the ads in your video. A "Revverized Video" is a video that has the revver ads in it. There is no limit to how many videos you can upload but revver is very strict about copyright infringement so make sure that if you upload a video, it is actually your own video which you own or created (You can even make a simple video from pictures.
Just take some pictures with a digital camera and then use a free program such as Windows Movie Maker to create a slideshow from the pictures and then save it as a video). With Revver, you don't have to have your own videos either. You can make money by sharing videos that other people uploaded. Just search for some videos on Revver, find one you like and start sharing it places and you will get 20% of whatever the advertiser pays Revver. So Revver gets 40%, Whoever uploaded the video gets 40% and anybody who shares the video gets 20%. The amount you get paid for each click varies. It can be anywhere between $.01 cent to $4.00 depending on how much the advertiser is willing to pay. Videos about money, banks, lawyers will have higher payouts for clicks because the related ads that people would click on would be the same subjects and those are high paying subjects. Most clicks on average for entertainment type videos would be about .10 cents each. So if you had 100 clicks a day, that would be $10 a day and $300 a month.
The Trick:
The best part about Revver is that you don't have to just post videos on revver's website and wait for clicks. You can send your videos out into the real world. Revver has an option next to each video which allows you to downloadyour Revverized video (or anybody elses video if you want to share other people's videos and make 20% of the clicks) to your computer so you can upload them places like on a p2p file sharing program such as Limewire or BitTorrent. The trick is to find videos that are very popular subjects (For Example: In early 2008 the video titled "2 girls 1 cup" was extremely popular). Then rename the videos after you download them to your computer (Yes you are allowed to rename the videos anything youwant, just right click on the video file with your mouse after you download it to your computer and choose "rename" and give it a title that will make people want to click on it). The great part about this whole system is that the ads stay in the videos everywhere they go.So if Joe in New York downloads the video from you using limewire, and then Jessica in California downloads that video from Joe, and Jessica clicks on it, you get paid (and so does Revver, and so does whoever created the video). If 100 people download it from Joe or Jessica, you get paid if any of those people click on the ads. The only catch is that theperson who is clicking on the video must be connected to the internet when they click (most people downloading things onlimewire or other p2p programs are connected to the internet already beause they have limewire running on their computer and that requires an internet connection.) So the longer your video is out there, floating around on the p2p programs, the more money you can make. You can download thousands of videos from Revver and then give them more attractive titles. Then upload them again on to the file sharing programs and sit back and wait for your check in the mail.
Other Ways to share videos: Next to every video on Revver there is an email option. So you can email your friends, family, anybody. Email them the links for the videos. They will open their emails and if you sent it to enough people, some will click on the ads and you will make money. Revver has many other tools available if you check the "Tools" section of their website. One of the tools allowsyou to build your very own Revver website if you don't know how to. They give you all the tools you need to have your very own Revverized website. Then you can build traffic. Once you have traffic coming to your website, you have people watchingyour Revverized videos, so you have people clicking ads, which means you have people making YOU money.
